SSC: Grammar Exercise 01

*   Complete the passage with suitable verbs from the list. Put them in the correct tense. Use negative where necessary.

“I want one double,” said the tourist.
The receptionist said, “We have a double room on the second floor.”
12. “Nasica, have you done your English lesson today ?” asked the teacher. “Yes, sir”, she replied. “But I haven’t understood one grammatical point” The teacher assured her saying. “Come to my room, I’ll help you to understand the point.” “Thank you, sir”, she smilingly said.
*    Read the following passage and transform the underlined sentences as directed in brackets.
